Benidorm has two beaches, Levante and Poniente, divided by the old-town headland. The choice is between Levante’s busy evenings, calmer Poniente and the lanes between them.
At Plaça del Castell, the Balcón del Mediterráneo looks over both bays. The Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna and small Mal Pas beach are close by. From the old town you can walk to either main beach and find tapas after dark.
Levante Beach runs east beneath high-rise hotels and a lively promenade. Avenida del Mediterráneo is behind it. Rincón de Loix, farther east, is closer to Aqualandia and Mundomar, and the old town becomes a longer walk.
Poniente Beach curves west from the port toward La Cala. Families and walkers use its broad seafront path, and Tossal de la Cala rises above the western end. From the western end you need a bus or a long walk for old-town restaurants.
The TRAM L1 links Benidorm with Alicante, and local buses cover the long stretch between the two beach ends. Parking is difficult in the central streets. If you drive, ask about the hotel’s spaces and charges before booking.
