Ibiza is an island, not one resort. Dalt Vila and the port sit in the southeast; Sant Antoni faces west, Santa Eulària looks east and small coves ring the north.
Ibiza Town’s fortified Dalt Vila climbs from La Marina to the cathedral. Stay near the port for ferries and restaurants, or above it for the old streets. The steep lanes are awkward with luggage.
Platja d’en Bossa runs south of town toward Ses Salines. Its big hotels and clubs are the draw for a beach-and-nightlife trip. Sant Antoni has the sunset strip on the west coast. Book off the busiest streets if you want to sleep.
Santa Eulària has a marina and promenade with a steadier pace. Es Canar and Portinatx are for beach days away from the main clubs. The inland villages and western coves need a car.
Catalan and Spanish are official languages. Buses join the larger towns and airport, but smaller calas can need a car or taxi. Ferries leave the port for Formentera.
About 5 miles from Ibiza Airport. The walled Dalt Vila rises above the port and La Marina. Sleep here for old streets, the cathedral and ferries to Formentera. Expect steep lanes and limited parking.

About 3 miles from Ibiza Airport. A long beach south of Ibiza Town with big hotels and clubs near the airport. It is convenient for nightlife and a quick arrival, but music and traffic make some blocks noisy.

About 14 miles from Ibiza Airport. The west-coast town has a broad bay, a harbor and sunset cafés along Ses Variades. Book away from the West End if you want to sleep.

About 18 miles from Ibiza Airport. The east-coast town has a marina, a seafront promenade and restaurants around Carrer de Sant Vicent. The club resorts are louder, and Es Canar and its beach are farther north.

About 23 miles from Ibiza Airport. A smaller northern resort around sheltered coves. The beaches of Cala Salada and Cala Bassa are farther west, so a car helps if you plan to move between them.

May and June bring beach weather before the busiest summer weeks. Highs reach the mid-80s °F at the airport in July and August, so walk the old town early or late. Autumn stays warm, but rain days rise from September onward.
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is about 4 miles southwest of Ibiza Town. The port also receives ferries from the mainland and other Balearic islands.

AERO3 runs from the airport to Ibiza Town. AERO1 serves Sant Antoni, AERO4 Santa Eulària and AERO5 Platja d’en Bossa; check the operator timetable for your arrival. For Portinatx, arrange a transfer or connect through a larger town.
Ibiza Town is the best value if you plan bus rides and a ferry to Formentera. Sant Antoni is good for west-coast beach days without crossing the island each day.
