Branson’s theaters and attractions line 76 Country Boulevard. Downtown sits on Lake Taneycomo, and Table Rock Lake is to the west. Each is a separate drive, so book near the shows, the theme park or the lake you plan to visit.
The 76 Entertainment District is the main theater corridor, with show venues, family attractions, restaurants and motels strung along West 76 Country Boulevard. The Titanic Museum Attraction and many theaters are on this route. A hotel near one show may still be a drive from another, especially on busy performance evenings.
Historic Downtown Branson and Branson Landing sit beside Lake Taneycomo. Main Street shops, the waterfront and the Branson Scenic Railway depot are here, away from the Strip’s theaters. The free Downtown Trolley runs between downtown and the Landing. You still need a car for Silver Dollar City or Table Rock Lake.
Silver Dollar City is west of the theater district near Indian Point. Cabins, condos and resorts on Indian Point Road are close to the park and the Table Rock Lake marinas, and a long drive from downtown nights out. Farther south, Table Rock Dam and Table Rock State Park have lake access, trails and a marina. A lake address does not always mean a room on the shore.
Lake outings are most comfortable in late spring and early autumn. Midsummer is hot. The holiday shows and lights bring crowds in November and December. Most visitors fly into Springfield-Branson National Airport, north of town, and drive the rest of the way. Leave extra time on the winding roads between the Strip, the lake and the park.
